Problems often become a frightening specter for people. Actually, solving problems can make us grow as individuals. This was proven directly by the Eco Warriors who organized the Batakita Exhibition on September 25 and 26, 2021.

Batakita, Buildings on our Land, is the final project of the theme, Dwellings. During the two months that the Eco Warriors studied this theme, they carried out a variety of activities relating to buildings, including making dioramas. They also prepared an exhibition to share information and show their work to invited guests.

The Eco Warriors prepared various games, food for sale, and entertainment. However, on September 20, 2021 the government announced that students had to go back to school. This created a problem for them. Some students could not come to the Learning Centre the week of September 20, 2021. It was then realised that the exhibition schedule could not run as originally planned because their school schedule collided with the Learning Centre schedule.

What’s interesting is that many Eco Warriors didn’t give up or cancel the exhibition. They still strived to ensure the event would take place. Some of them voluntarily took the responsibility from their friends so that the event would succeed.

On D-day, there were more problems. It rained all day, making the atmosphere less inviting. However, the Eco Warriors did not give up. They took the initiative to make a few necessary changes so that the event ran smoothly. They enthusiastically performed, entertained, sang, and danced. Parents also attended to provide support for their children.

Thank you, Eco Warriors, for your enthusiasm and optimism. Never give up on learning! (Zeni Natalya)
